PAY RATES & ROSTERS 

Potential Pay rates based on current industry standards**
 

Entry level
$90,000 to $120,000 (Nipper, Service Crew, Diamond Drill Offsider and Truck Operator)

2nd tier 
$120,000 to $180,000 (Service Crew Leader, Bogger Operator, Diamond Driller, Long hole Operator and Charge Up)

3rd tier
$180,000 to $350,000(Jumbo Operator and Shift Supervisor)

Gross amount only does not include super.

Lower amounts are usually owner operator pay rates and it should be noted that they often come with other benefits such as health insurance, salary sacrifice and life insurance. This would be on an 8 days on and 6 days off, 7 days on and 7 days off roster.

Conversly, higher amounts are usually contract based and would require a 2 weeks on and 1 week off roster.

Hours worked

As a mine worker you will be required to work 12 hour shifts.

The mine generally works these 12 hour shifts between 6am and 6pm or 7am and 7pm

Fly in Fly out

8 days on 6 days off; 7 nights on 7 days off

2 weeks on 1 week off

4 weeks on 1 week off; 5 weeks on 1 week off and 6 weeks on 1 week off

Live in work

4 days on 4 days off

8 days on 6 days off; 7 nights on 7 days off

4 days on/24hours off/ 3 nights on/ 3 days off/ 3days on/ 24 hours off/ 4 nights on/ 4 days off
